An on screen display control menu is also featured as well as parental controls, multi speed slow motion, skip, closed captioning and even title and chapter features. The built in stereo speaker also adapts to a headphone with volume control. The varied connection features include RCA audio input, RCA audio output, composite video input, composite video output and a headphone jack.

There are some drawbacks, despite the great features. There is not a screen mode that allows the player to accommodate older versions of wide screen DVDs. In such cases, the player has black bands on all four sides of the screen. Setting the LCD mode to full screen causes the picture to stretch and become distorted. If is fine, though for recent discs that are “enhanced for 16 x 9.” It is a little heavier than some other players, particularly when the battery is in it.

The player, as a whole, though is excellent. The controls run along the bottom of the screen so that no matter which way the screen is flipped, they are accessible. It is a good portable player for the money. For a player that you are going to take with you or have in a variety of areas, this sturdy little player is just right. Take it anywhere, take it everywhere.
