The Philips PET824 8.5″ Portable DVD / DivX Player is a little DVD player has some pretty big features.  In addition to just about all DVD and CD formats, it also plays Mpeg 4 videos on its 8.5 inch TFT LCD widescreen.  The battery, though, is what is getting rave reviews.  It is a long play, rechargeable battery that last up to six, yes, six, hours of play time!  Some folks are reporting even longer play on the battery.  It also comes with a DC car adapter that you can plug into your cigarette lighter for even more play on the road.  You can control it with the ultra slim remote control that is also included in the package.
